Chiang Dao Tamples

       Wat Tham Pha Plong is at the end of the road that goes past the caves, Malee's Nature Lovers Bangalo It is half way up the side of the mountain in a small cave surrounded by forest, with over 500 steps to the top. It has some great views, and due to it's location is completely peaceful. It is possible to domeditation here. Some of the monks speak very good English and can arrange for you to spend the night at the temple. Don't expect too much sleep though, as they wake up at 3.00am for teaching. 

      As well as being a very beautiful place the temple has importance as the last teaching place of a highly revered and respected monk.
